Very fine custom made mirror by Old Colony Furniture Co.  This mirror is an exact reproduction of a famous mirror illustrated in Wallace Nutting's Furniture Treasury, plate number 3078A (see illustration below).  At the time of publication the mirror was owned by the pioneering antique collector Francis H. Bigelow.

Like the original, the Old Colony version has an eglomise painted figure of a classically garbed woman in the upper mirror section.  The primary mirror is surrounded by a carved and gold leafed decoration.  The frame of the mirror is a tiger striped mahogany and is very beautiful.
